  • Are you feeling anxious about labor and delivery or concerned about the risk of birth injuries?
  • Are you experiencing hip, back, or pelvic pain during your pregnancy and being told it's just a normal part of the experience?
  • Unsure about what you can and cannot do while pregnant?
  • Worried about your recovery after giving birth?
  • Do you want to stay as athletic as possible during your pregnancy?
We understand that pregnancy brings a unique combination of joy and challenges. Discomfort, pain, and concerns about the delivery process can make this time feel overwhelming. We’re here to provide support, helping you feel strong and ready to navigate this journey.
  • We have a variety of ways to assess the pelvic floor muscles, and we tailor the approach to where you are in your pregnancy.

First trimester: We perform external only pelvic floor assessments. We also assess your breathing, rib cage, core muscles, hip muscles, and range of motion.

Second and third trimester: External or internal assessment, as long as you are not on pelvic rest from your provider. We continue to assess the whole body to reduce pain and improve outcomes for you and your baby.

An internal assessment is never required. You're always in control, and you can ask questions or decline anything at any point.

  • Yes. Pelvic floor PT is considered safe throughout pregnancy when it's done with a licensed pelvic health physical therapist, and the research shows it can improve both pregnancy and delivery outcomes. Staying active during pregnancy, as long as you don't have specific restrictions from your provider, is well supported and can lower the risk of complications and preterm delivery.

Think of pelvic floor rehab as whole body specialized care during your pregnancy. Pregnancy brings a lot of change to the body, and those changes can create aches, pains, and new pelvic floor symptoms. We treat your pelvic floor, but it's so much more than that. Our goal is to bridge the gap and give you the strength and knowledge to stay as active, pain free, and confident in your labor journey as possible.

A few things to know: let us know you're pregnant when you book so we can tailor your care from the start, and if your provider has placed you on pelvic rest or you have pregnancy complications, check in with your OB or midwife first. An internal exam can be part of the assessment, but it's never required. You're always in control.

You'll walk away from each session with exercises tailored to your own body, so you're never left questioning whether you're doing something wrong. It's never too early to ask questions or too late to get support.

  • At the first sign of symptoms. That includes round ligament pain, pelvic floor pain, pelvic heaviness, sciatica, urinary leakage, bowel complaints, pain with intimacy, lower back pain, pubic symphysis pain (SPD), rib pain, hip pain, and SIJ pain. The earlier we see you, the more comfortable we can keep you.

If you don't have any symptoms, we still recommend at least one visit each trimester. Here's what each one focuses on:

First trimester: We get a baseline of your strength, mobility, and pelvic floor coordination. This sets the stage for your growing body to support you well, and it helps us catch small things early so they don't become bigger ones later.

Second trimester: We focus on building strength and support around the pelvis and addressing asymmetries that can cause you pain and affect your baby's position. This piece is very important for labor.

Third trimester: At least one visit for birth prep. Our team will teach you how to push correctly, which is key for anyone hoping for a vaginal delivery, along with birth prep stretches that improve mobility in the pelvic floor and pelvis to make your baby's journey through the pelvis as smooth as possible. We'll also talk through comfort during labor, labor positions, and tips to reduce perineal tearing.

  • You can pay per visit for your 1:1 session with the team.

Most of our patients choose to purchase packages that support you during your pregnancy and beyond. These are discounted rates and have affordable payment plans.
